What’s a good food treat for celebrating a diabetic’s birthday?

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Some friends regularly get together for “Happy Hour” every Friday and I wanted to surpise one of the folks in the group for his 50th birthday but thought a birthday cake might not be a good idea since he’s Type 1 diabetic and uses insulin

Don’t you hate it when fast food restaurants rip you OFF? Grrrrr!!!!?

Friday, June 13th, 2008

I mean are you really going to drive ALL the way back because they forgot the gravy for your fries, or gave you a double double coffee when you wanted black or worse still it’s COLD or watered down (I get that a lot when I order DECAF!!!!)

The worst is when you order something for the family and they FORGET an order…then you HAVE to go back!!

I’m so tired of being ripped off. Most of the cashiers are nim wits and what do you expect for minimum wage but really….you don’t want to make an issue of a buck or two but it ADDS up when it happens continually and often don’t you agree? I hate holding a line up but I swear I’m going to start doing it rather than having to double back and wait all over again?

I have more than worked in many a service Duckie and always gave 150 percent whether I got paid 2 cents or 2 hundred bucks.

I think people don’t take pride in anything they do anymore or simply lack in brain cells to not be able to read what’s in front of them on a screen and pack it into a bag.

That reflects on the management too and shows they have no skills in recognizing what to look for in the people they hire.

Eve, I feel your rage. We all have a certain amount of crap we have to take off these crummy fast food joints and guess what? It will never change. They hire people that need jobs and pay them nearly nothing. By the time they train someone, he or she gets a little skill and moves on to something better. It happens in retail too. Like, I noticed that grocery stores like Walmart will bag your stuff and let you walk off leaving a whole bag of groceries behind. They could not care less. The only cure for your problem is to eat at home more often. I know it is hard with a busy schedule, but it has it’s rewards.

Yeah, my husband and I go to KFC on occasion and we never get the right order. Either we get buffalo styled wings instead of honey barbecue or we don’t get the mashed potatoes, but it’s always something. And we check the order before we leave the drive-thru window now. It’s rediculous!

………….

Or better yet, you go to KFC and they DON’T HAVE ANY CHICKEN!!

This happened to me and a buddy of mine.

Plus I only eat out if I’m extremely busy and stressed.

…………

To say that most of the cashiers are nim-wits is harsh and unfair. Have you worked fast food before? If not, then how dare you say that? If so, then im sure you understand that problems occur and mistakes happen. I understand your anger, but they are not trying to rip you off. Why not just pull up a little bit and check then- then you are not holding up the line and and you are not to far to go back in if there is an issue.

by the way to Tim D- you would not have to pray not to have to come back if you did any of that at my store- you would be banned.

…………

Check it at the widow ,don’t Let any one rush you , + that way , you can tack out Wat you did not git lass time& get evon, & say hay you did not give me my?

Homemade Versus Store Coffee

Friday, April 4th, 2008

If you are on a budget but you have to have your coffee, too, then you should consider automatic coffee machines. Just because the coffee comes from a home based machine does not mean it is not as good as Starbucks or other brand coffee. The reason you should consider automatic coffee centers is because they can make you some amazing coffee day in and day out for years and never wear out. On the other hand, you could go to a convenience store or even a luxury coffee café and spend several dollars on your cup of coffee. While this might sound really good it can get expensive very fast.

Because of this, it is worth it to buy a Jura Capresso espresso machine. A top of the line machine such as this one will allow people to make coffee that is out of this world. IN fact, the coffee is so good that you will think it was professionally made! Give it a try and jut see what you see.

Are fast food salads healthy?

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Any salad is healthy if you don’t dump unhealthy things all over it like Ranch and tons of cheese and bacon. It doesn’t matter where it comes from.
