Do you think if you had a bad childhood it screws you up for the rest of your adult life?
Really depends on the person. Many criminals etc. blame their actions on their bad upbringings. Then again, there are so many people that have had similar experiences and just carry on.
She’s not exactly my hero but if you look at Oprah - she had some tough experiences and she’s mega successful.
If you look at someone like GG Allin - he was considered an eccentric. He also had a bad upbringing - from his father in this case. Dispite this - he never blamed that on his childhood.
Then there are countless others that let their early years be the excuse for every little character and personality flaw… Some must be genuine but however I can tell you from my experience with friends with bad childhoods they tend to blame a lot of stuff on this.
So…. I guess it can screw up your life - “if you let it get to you”
But on the other hand, it can also make you driven to get past those bad times by chasing success.
Either way bad childhoods suck… IMHO.. (duh)

it makes it harder but people with messed up childhoods can rise to greatness or “normalcy” and those with good childhoods can collapse. Statistically there is link between childhood problems and adult problems but not set in stone

it can if u let it…but it can be the motivation for you to thrive as an adult
